Welcome to your adventure through time as we explore some of the most fascinating sites in Egypt’s ancient history!
Our first stop is Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, founded by King Menes in 3100 BC. It was the seat of government for over 8 centuries and is home to many historical sites, including the Alabaster Sphinx and the statue of Ramses II. Your knowledgeable English-speaking guide will provide you with an in-depth tour of the city, sharing intriguing facts and stories about its rich history.
Next up is Sakkara, where you will witness the oldest known pyramid in Egypt, the Step Pyramid. Constructed by Imhotep for King Djoser, it is a testament to the engineering and design prowess of ancient Egyptians. Admire the wall paintings and hieroglyphs as your guide takes you on a journey through the complex.
After exploring Sakkara, it’s time for a break! We’ll stop at a nearby restaurant for lunch where you can sample some authentic Egyptian food and refreshments (not included in the package).
Our journey then takes us to the most iconic symbol of Egypt, the Giza Pyramids! Get up close and personal with the Great Pyramids of Giza and learn about their significance and construction from your guide. And, if you’re feeling daring, take a ride on a camel and snap some amazing photos!
Our last stop is the Sphinx monument, the enigmatic creature that has watched over the temple of Cheops and the royal tombs for thousands of years. Discover the Sphinx’s significance in Egyptian mythology as your guide shares interesting insights.
After a day filled with adventure and exploration, we’ll transport you back to your accommodation in a comfortable, air-conditioned car. You’ll leave with unforgettable memories of this illustrious and historic nation. Please note that the package does not include access to the Solar Boat Museum or the inside of the Pyramids, and it does not cover extra tips.
