Discover two of Egypt’s most important temples at Abu Simbel, a historical location 280 kilo meters from Aswan. The temples were saved from flooding by Lake Nasser with the help of UNESCO and were reassembled in their original place in 1964-1968. See the cuts made to the blocks and learn about the removal process through an exhibition of pictures. Abu Simbel has been a popular tourist destination since it was first discovered by J.L. Burckhardt in 1813.”

Board a traditional Nile sailboat Felucca and spend the day and night cruising down the river. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, all meals are provided, sleep under the stars on the deck of the boat. Mattresses are provided but you will need a blanket or light sleeping bag. A private support boat will be provided for your group which is equipped with toilets and an area to eat your meals, ensuring a stress-free traditional experience on the Nile.”

Transfer to Luxor by private car or minibus, arrive and check-in to the hotel. In the evening, take an optional tour by caleche (horse-drawn carriage) and watch the sound and light show at Karnak Temple, a complex of temples, halls, pylons and sanctuaries from the middle kingdom till the Greek-Roman period. Explore the famous temples, tombs and monuments in the area such as the tomb of King Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, and the Luxor Temple. Return to the hotel and overnight in Luxor.

Begin your day with a donkey ride to the Valley of the Kings and a visit to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. 62 Pharaohs were buried at the Valley of the Kings, which had a guarded entrance and sentries to deter tomb raiders. Explore the tombs which range from simple pits to intricate buildings with many chambers.
